Resolutions are often made to reach goals. How do we set goals?
Some recommand we follow the SMART rule to set effective goals.
SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and time-specific.
- Specific Have you been specific in what you want to achieve?
- Measurable How will you know if you’ve achieved your goal?
- Achievable Is this a goal that you can achieve?
- Relevant Is this goal aligned with your mission, vision and values?
- Time Specific When do you want to achieve this goal by?

Another way to plan goal is proposed in the

Many resolutions are about being more productive. The resoltuons could be to adopt new practices. Could be the Pomodoro technique of splitting tasks and time. Check
